Frequently Asked Questions
What versions of PHP do you allow?
We allow all mainstream PHP versions – from PHP 7.4 upwards, with extended security patching for EOL PHP Versions. If you need a PHP version that isn’t available, simply contact our Support Team and we’ll see what we can do!
Where is my data backed up to?
We backup all data to Encrypted S3 Buckets – these are stored off-site to another UK Datacenter. This allows for secure backups that are held in another geographical location for ultimate resiliency. You can use the self-service panel in your hosting dashboard to restore files, folders and databases from backup.
What is fully-managed hosting?
Fully-Managed Hosting means that we take care of all elements of your hosting package – we look after your backups, your site data, and your security patching. Note that Fully Managed Hosting does not include Website Design or Website Maintenance.
What antispam solution is included?
By default, your hosting plan comes with Rspamd (a drop-in replacement for SpamAssassin). This is a very powerful antispam engine that captures thousands of spam emails every day on our network. However, we do also offer a more advanced antispam solution at an additional cost. Rspamd is fine for most clients though.
Will my website be safe from malware/hacking?
We run an anti-virus engine on our servers which will let you know if Malware is detected. It will also inform you of CMS Vulnerabilities, if you have one installed. Our Support Team is also notified if malware is detected, and will take prompt action to secure you and your website.
Do you offer a CDN (Content Delivery Network)?
Our Hosting servers run on LiteSpeed, which entitles you to their free QUIC.Cloud CDN.
Self-Service Control Panel
We use the industry-leading DirectAdmin Control Panel on our Web Hosting servers, which gives you a simple yet powerful interface.
